Organised by the Care Council, this year’s Accolades will be focused on the agenda set out in the Welsh Government’s policy paper, Sustainable Social Services for Wales: A Framework for Action and the new Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act.
The Accolades has partners from numerous organisations involved in agreeing the categories, the shortlisting and the judging.
The judges, including our Chief Inspector Imelda Richardson, are looking for initiatives that demonstrate how organisations have invested in creating “a new level of professionalism.”
They’re looking for evidence of investment in continuous development and training of staff, leadership development and collaboration that has broken down barriers.
To celebrate the Accolades’ 10th anniversary they’re also including a 10th anniversary achievement award, to be awarded to a project that has previously won an Accolade and is continuing to flourish.
