Care Home Open Day, 19 June 2015

The day is a UK-wide initiative which invites care homes to open their doors to their local communities.

Ever wondered what it’s like inside your local care home?

Our inspectors go into care homes every week – but tomorrow (Friday) is your opportunity to find out for yourself what goes on inside your local care home.

Thousands of care homes across the UK take part each year, putting on events and activities to create lasting links between care home residents and people living nearby.

Chief Inspector Imelda Richardson said:

We as an inspectorate see the good practice and first-rate care that goes on in many care homes across Wales. Care Home Open Day is your opportunity to go along and find out for yourself exactly what great care can look like.
