Accolades 2015 Awards Ceremony today as part of Social Care Week (15-19 June)

The event celebrates good practice in social work, social care, early years and childcare in Wales.

There were a record number of entries for this year’s awards, organised by the Care Council for Wales, which take place at Cardiff City Hall today.

The judges, including our Chief Inspector Imelda Richardson, looked for initiatives that demonstrate how organisations have invested in creating “a new level of professionalism.”

To celebrate the Accolades’ 10th anniversary there will be a 10th anniversary achievement award, to be awarded to a project that has previously won an Accolade and is continuing to flourish.

The event takes part during Social Care Week, an annual event to raise awareness of the 88,000 practitioners working in social care and childcare in Wales.

Good luck to all finalists at the awards today.
