We’re supporting Carers Week (11 – 17 June)
This year’s campaign focuses on 'supporting carers to be healthy and connected'.
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
The campaign is brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations who come together to organise activities and events throughout the UK, drawing attention to just how important caring is.
Members of our National Advisory Board include carers, family members of people who use services, as well as our partners who are involved in our work.
Chief Inspector Gillian Baranski said:
Carers make an invaluable contribution to the quality of life of people receiving care, often without any thanks or recognition. It’s so important to recognise their contribution and the dedication that goes into caring for a loved one, day in, day out.
Carers deserve quick and simple access to information and services which can enable them to stay healthy and make the best choices for their wellbeing and that of the people they care for.
