Provider found CIW Online ‘easy, as it guided me through the process’
We’ve been speaking to providers about their experiences using our online service.
In February, we launched our digital service for registration, CIW Online, which providers can also use to submit notifications and variations.
The system is currently only available for services registered under the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act, but will be available for all providers in the future.
We talked to Sharon Williams, manager for Handsale, providing care for 91 people.
We recently re-registered our service using CIW Online. I found the system easy, as it guided me through the process and prompted me to review our service. This led us to updating our service user guide and statement of purpose.
CIW Online has also enabled me to register as an online assistant, giving me permission to submit notifications on behalf of my service, including Regulation 60 notifications. I really like the fact that the system guides you with drop-down menus to help you select the type of notification. This stops any confusion around what is required.
CIW Online is quick, easy to use, and everything is tracked online. It offers reassurance that a notification has been received safely, and the notification number comes back within minutes. A much faster, safer and easier way to submit.
