The improvement meetings (IM) pilot was launched in April 2023 and ran until the end of June 2023.

We were delighted that 90 providers offered their time to take part in the pilot that began in April 2023, and we can now share with you the evaluation results.

What is an improvement meeting? 

An improvement meeting takes place between inspections and allows providers to share with us any improvements they have made since their last inspection. It also looks at how they have responded to any non-compliance or recommendations. 

Findings 

• 60 improvement meetings took place.
• 96% of providers found the guidance provided to them before the meeting to be clear and easy to understand. 
• 91% of providers felt able to develop the quality of their service because of the improvement meeting.
• the minimum time to complete an improvement meeting was just under an hour. 
• 57% of services were signposted to useful resources.
