We’re updating our registration process

When registering with us or making changes to existing services, we will soon ask for more essential information, at the point of application.

At Care Inspectorate Wales we register services to make sure they are fit for purpose and comply with relevant legislation.

Currently, during our registration process, we request certain information at the point of application and further information as the registration application is being assessed. However, this can lead to long delays in the registration process if an applicant does not have the required information available.

To try to avoid any unnecessary delays to the process, from early next year, we will be requesting all essential information at the point of application, rather than part way through the assessment process. This will help prospective applicants to be clear about what information they need to provide in order to apply to register with CIW.

These changes will made to our CIW Online system early next year.

There is registration guidance on our website to help you during the online application process, and you can also refer to your member organisation who may have resources to help you.
