Inspection of services for Children in Need, in Wrexham County Borough Council.
The 2011/12 Performance Evaluation report recognised that although the council was continuing to make improvements in children services, there was still a need for a further inspection to look at the continuing high rates of re referral in looked after children.
The inspection took place in March 2013 and concentrated on the performance of the council in responding to referrals and contacts. The inspection’s focus was to evaluate the timeliness and quality of assessment and support to children in need and their families both from council services and from those which the council commissions and operates in partnership.
