The extension of our silent ratings pilot for care homes and domiciliary support services will now run until the end of March 2025
During October we will be undertaking an improvement check of the Adults and Children’s social services department in Wrexham County Borough Council
The review looked at to what extent the current structures and processes in Wales ensure children's names are appropriately placed on, and removed from, the child protection register (CPR) when sufficient evidence indicates it is safe to do

We will be jointly looking at child protection arrangements in Powys in October alongside Estyn, Healthcare Inspectorate Wales, and His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services
The review was led by HIW with support from Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW)
There has been a steady increase in the number of reported incidents when children are missing from their foster placement or care home.
