We’re supporting Carers Week (6-12 June)
This year’s campaign focuses on ‘making caring visible, valued and supported’.
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
The campaign is brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations who come together to organise activities and events throughout the UK, drawing attention to just how important caring is.
Members of our National Advisory Board include carers, family members of people who use services, as well as our partners who are involved in our work.
Chief Inspector Gillian Baranski said:
Carers make an invaluable contribution to the quality of life of people receiving care, often with little thanks and recognition. It’s so important we celebrate the dedication and commitment that goes into caring for a family member or friend, day in day out. Let’s make sure every carer feels valued and supported as they carry out these often unseen but vital roles.
