Welsh Government are seeking support from the childcare and play sector in their vision of becoming an anti-racist nation by 2030

Welsh Government have recently published the Anti-racist Wales Action Plan, designed to tackle systemic and institutionalised racism.

The Anti-racist Wales Action Plan sets out the goals and actions for Welsh Government, local authorities, statutory bodies and third sector organisations.

Welsh Government knows that they need to ensure the voices and lived experiences of Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority people are not just heard, but acted upon.

The proposed actions set out within the plan in relation to the childcare and play sector are at an early stage of development. Welsh Government are seeking help to develop and refine these proposed actions to ensure they have the most positive impact possible.

Welsh Government will be establishing a steering group to lead this work, as well as task and finish groups and focus groups to engage parents and staff. Welsh Government are particularly interested in involving those from Black and Asian Minority Ethnic backgrounds in this work.

If you are interested in supporting this work, please email ChildcarePlay.AntiRacistWales@gov.wales by 9 September to get involved.
